What happens to my content after I've cancelled my subscription?

If you downgrade your account from Pro or Believer to Basic, you may be wondering what happens to the content created by features only available on the paid tiers.

Your data is not deleted. Pro features are disabled, but your existing content stays in your account. When you reactivate your Pro account, you’ll get access to everything as it was before.

Here are some details about the behavior on a feature basis:

  • Queries
    • Existing queries stay in your space.
    • You can still see that they exist.
    • Query results/editing are disabled on Basic.
    • Creating new Pro queries is disabled.
  • Calendar integrations
    • Existing calendar connections remain saved.
    • Calendar sync into Capacities is disabled
    • Adding new integrations is disabled.
    • Re-enabling Pro restores calendar integration behavior.
  • Task management
    • Existing tasks remain in your content.
    • Task-management surfaces/workflows are hidden or disabled.
  • Task actions (Todoist/TickTick/etc.)
    • Existing task-action configurations remain saved.
    • Sending tasks via these integrations is disabled.
    • Setup/edit flows are disabled until Pro is active again.
  • Curated icon set
    • Existing icons on content remain as they are.
    • Access to the Pro icon library is disabled for new selection/editing.
  • Readwise / reader integrations
    • Existing integration setup is kept but no content will sync.
  • Public API
    • Existing API tokens remain listed.
    • Tokens are deactivated on Basic.
