Migrate from Apple Notes with a conversion-first workflow.

Apple Notes is folder-first and often unstructured. Capacities is object-type-first, which is a more structured approach.
Map Apple Notes folders to clear noun-based object types before conversion/import for cleaner results.

Apple Notes is folder-first. Capacities is object-type-first.
Look at your current notes and group them into folders where the folder names are nouns, such as People, Projects, Meetings, and so on.
Once you know what groups you have, you can create the structure for them in Capacities. Create object types for each folder. You can use object type templates too. Go to Settings > Object type > + New.
You can add any properties you need here too, but Apple Notes does not have properties in the same way Capacities does, so you may not need many.
For mixed or non-noun folders (Inbox, scratch notes, planning), either:
Apple Notes does not provide a reliable native bulk export to migration-ready Markdown.
For larger migrations, use a trusted exporter/converter and keep:
For very small sets, note-by-note export can work, but it does not scale well.
Before importing:
In Capacities, go to Settings > Migrate from another tool > Click the spanner icon, then upload your folders.
Before importing:
Then click Analyse, review, and click Import. Keep Capacities open until import completes.
