Switching guides

Coming from other tools

These guides help you map concepts from another app to Capacities, understand day-to-day differences, and see what does not map one-to-one. You can also learn how to import your content from other apps.

For scannable feature matrices and pricing, use the comparison pages on the main website.

  1. Read Understanding the paradigm shift first.
  2. Read your tool's switching guide (to understand concept differences).
  3. Follow the matching Import from guide for more specific advice.

General guides

These guides will help you understand the different concepts in Capacities compared to other apps. This is an important step. Capacities has an opinionated structure, so it helps to be confident with it before importing.

Import guides

These guides teach you how to take your content exported from another tool to successfully migrate it into Capacities, taking the different structure into account.

If your tool is missing

If you use a different tool than those listed above and want to understand the conceptual differences, request additions to the documentation at the link in the box below. We can offer high-level advice and update the list of import guides over time.

If you are looking for import advice, you can use the general bulk import documentation. Regardless of the tool you use, you will need to transfer your content into Markdown and have some way of identifying what object type it should be when imported into Capacities.
