I want a fresh start. Do I need to delete my account?

No. If you want empty notes and a clean setup, create a new space instead of deleting your account.

Deleting your account starts a 30-day waiting period before your data is permanently removed. You will not get an immediate fresh start that way.

Create a new space

  1. In the top-left corner of the window, click your active space's name.
  2. Click Create new space.
  3. Pick a template if you want one, or start with a blank space.

When you create a new space, Capacities offers to restart the onboarding. That walks you through setup again and can be useful if you want guided first steps.

Your existing spaces stay as they are until you delete them. Switch between spaces anytime from the same menu in the top-left corner.

See Spaces for templates and switching between spaces.

Remove old spaces

If you no longer need your previous space, you can delete it after you have moved to the new one. Deleted spaces stay recoverable for 30 days before they are permanently removed.

See How can I remove all existing content in Capacities and start again? for step-by-step cleanup.

When to delete your account

Delete your account only if you want to close your Capacities account entirely and remove all spaces and data from our systems. See How can I delete my account and associated data?.
